AWS Official Documentation

Along with the above, I highly recommend that you have the access to the official AWS Documentation. They are free to access and contain everything needed to clear the exam. One of my friends who some hands on experience passed the DVA-C02 exam with the help of AWS documentation only.

So, if you are someone who already has the hands on experience and just looking for the certificate, just go for the AWS official documentation and learn from there. You will crack the exam in first attempt for sure.

What should you focus on more?

While you should learn every topic with the same interest, but some of the topics you should pay more attention to are:

  • AWS Serverless
  • Cloudformation and Serverless Application Model (SAM)
  • Security Questions
  • DynamoDB – Calculating WCU and RCU
  • General Cloud Practices like difference between read replica and cache. Vertical vs horizontal scaling, IAM policies
  • Code Commit is vs Code Build
  • Migrating from GitHub to Code Commit

The above are some of the topics that students who have already passed the AWS Developer Associate exam recommend. So, keep a note!
